About these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Klakko (run by [Legal entity or proprietor name: to be added], [Registered address, India: to be added]) about klakko.app and everything on it (“Klakko”). By creating an account, joining the waitlist for access, or using Klakko, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Klakko.
If you use Klakko for a company, you’re agreeing for that company and confirm you can.
Early access: waitlist and invite-only beta
Klakko is new. Right now you can join a waitlist, and people we invite can test it. Joining the waitlist is free and doesn’t give you a right to access. We choose who to invite and when, and may pause or end the beta.
During the beta, Klakko is provided “as is” and “as available”. Features, prices, limits and credits may change, things can break, and a video may fail or come out wrong. We’ll work to fix problems and keep your work safe, but please download anything important and keep your own copy.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older, and able to enter a binding contract.
- Sign-in is by an emailed link or code. Keep your mailbox secure; you’re responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in.
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date. One person per account; don’t share logins.
What Klakko does
Klakko plans what you could post, guides you while you record yourself (as an AI interviewer or a script director), transcribes what you say, and uses AI to edit it into short videos, clips, carousels and post text. It does not post anything to your social accounts for you; you download or copy the result and publish it yourself, and you choose what goes live.
AI output: check it before you publish
Klakko uses AI. AI can be wrong, can misquote or misspell, can miss context, and can produce similar output for different people. Content Klakko makes is a draft that you must review before you share it. You are responsible for what you publish, including that it’s accurate, lawful, and doesn’t mislead anyone or break a platform’s rules.
Klakko’s output is not legal, financial, medical, tax or other professional advice, and we don’t promise any views, followers, leads, sales or other results.
Your content and our licence
“Your content” means the recordings, photos, text and other material you put into Klakko, and the transcripts and videos, clips, carousels and posts made from them. You own your content, and (as between you and us) you can use the results of Klakko, including commercially.
To run Klakko for you, you give us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, store, process, transmit, adapt and display your content, and to pass it to the service providers described in our Privacy Policy, only for the purpose of providing and securing Klakko for you (and, if you ask, supporting you). This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from the limited time it remains in backups or at AI providers as described in the Privacy Policy.
We don’t publish your content, sell it, or use it to train AI models of our own. We won’t use your name, logo or content in our marketing without asking you first.
You promise that you have the right to use your content in Klakko and for what you plan to do with it, and that it doesn’t infringe anyone’s rights. Music, fonts, graphics and templates that Klakko adds to a video are licensed for use in the videos you make with it; you can’t pull them out and resell or redistribute them on their own.
Recording yourself and other people
Klakko is built to record you. Only record someone else (a guest, colleague, customer or family member) if they have clearly agreed to be recorded and to their image and voice being processed by AI providers and used in your content, and you follow any laws about recording that apply where you and they are.
The AI-image features that use your likeness are for your own face only, and only after you give consent in Klakko. Don’t upload photos of anyone else, don’t use Klakko to make fake or misleading content that looks or sounds like a real person who hasn’t agreed, and don’t imitate anyone.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Klakko to:
- break the law, or make or share anything unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit involving real people, or that exploits or endangers children;
- infringe copyright, trademarks, privacy or other rights, or record or process people without their consent;
- deceive people, for example fake testimonials, impersonation, scams, deepfakes of real people, or false claims about products, health or money;
- send spam, malware, or content that breaks the rules of the platform you post to;
- attack, probe, overload or reverse-engineer Klakko, bypass limits or credits, scrape it, or resell access without our written agreement;
- use Klakko’s output to build a competing AI product, or to train other AI models.
We may remove content, refuse a request, or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and report illegal content to the authorities.
Plans, credits and billing
Klakko is paid for with a plan and credits. Prices are in US dollars. Current plans:
- Free trial: $0, 25 credits once (plus your first video), no card needed.
- Solo: $49 / month, 120 credits a month.
- Pro: $149 / month, 300 credits a month.
What each plan includes is on our Plans page when you sign in, and we may change plans or add new ones. A change to the price of a plan you already pay for takes effect at your next renewal, after we tell you.
How credits work
- A recording (an interview or a reel) uses 10 credits when it starts; a campaign video uses 3. Extras such as a carousel or a post use 1 each. Planning and walking away costs nothing.
- Unused monthly credits roll over for one month and then expire. Credits have no cash value, can’t be transferred, and end when your account closes.
- If a video fails, or a shoot is cancelled or records nothing, the credits come back automatically (see the Refund & Cancellation Policy). Credits for finished work you delete aren’t returned.
Payment and renewal
Paid plans renew every month until you cancel. Payments are taken by our payment provider, Dodo Payments, which acts as the merchant of record: it sells the subscription to you, charges your card or other payment method, collects any sales tax or VAT it must, and sends the invoice. Its name may appear on your statement, and its terms and privacy policy apply to the payment. If a payment fails, we may put your plan on hold until it’s fixed.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time from the Billing page in Klakko. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep your plan until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Refunds are covered in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Third-party services
Klakko relies on other companies (hosting, AI, payments, email) described in our Privacy Policy. We’re not responsible for their services failing, but we choose them carefully. Social networks and apps you post to are your relationship with them, under their own terms.
Our rights and your feedback
Klakko’s software, design, name, logo, prompts, templates and everything else we make belongs to us or our licensors; these terms don’t give you ownership of any of it, only the right to use Klakko as described. If you send ideas or feedback, we may use them without owing you anything.
Suspending or closing your account
You can stop using Klakko and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others or Klakko at risk, or has been unpaid for a long time, or end the beta; where we reasonably can, we’ll warn you and give you a chance to download your work. If we close a paid account without cause, we’ll refund the unused part of the period you paid for.
Parts of these terms that are meant to continue (such as ownership, liability and governing law) survive after your account ends.
No warranty
To the extent the law allows, Klakko is provided “as is” and “as available”, and we give no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that its output will be accurate, original, or suitable for your purposes. Some places don’t allow some of these disclaimers, so some may not apply to you.
Limits on our responsibility
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost audience or business, or lost data, and our total liability to you for anything arising from Klakko is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or US$100 if you haven’t paid anything). Nothing here limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You’re responsible for the content you create and publish with Klakko, and you agree to cover claims, losses and reasonable costs we suffer because of your content or your breach of these terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Please contact us first at hello@klakko.app so we can try to sort a problem out. If we can’t, the courts at [city, state, India: to be added] have exclusive jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to go to court where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Klakko grows. We’ll change the “last updated” date, and for changes that matter we’ll email you or tell you in the app, normally at least 14 days before they apply. If you keep using Klakko after that, you accept the new terms; if you don’t, you can close your account.
